Nikki discovered her love for hair and makeup at a young age, beginning her journey in the beauty industry at just 14 years old with Urban Decay at Nordstrom. From ages 14–18, she honed her skills in makeup artistry, which sparked a lifelong passion for beauty and creativity.
Driven by that passion, she graduated high school early to attend cosmetology school at a community college. At 18, she began her career at an Aveda salon—an experience that deeply shaped her philosophy as a stylist. Immersing herself in the teachings of Horst Rechelbacher, she studied the rituals and principles behind Aveda, embracing the 10 Points of Difference and the clean, true beauty that Aveda represents.
Now, 25 years into her career, she has traveled the world doing hair and makeup, collaborating with photographers and creative teams on editorial and commercial projects. Through it all, her love for Aveda has only grown.
What she cherishes most is the connection with her clients—whether she’s preparing someone for their wedding day, caring for generations within a family, or helping someone feel their most confident. For her, beauty is about artistry, intention, and meaningful relationships.
