“If you don’t like something, change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”—Mary Engelbreit
This is how Marcelle Hopkins envisions her world and her work. She spends many hours gleaning wisdom from likeminded stylist to find inspiration and creative ideas to share with guests. The perfect cut, a polished style, stunning color—its all right there if you’re willing to look for it and embrace something new.
As a Grand Salon Stylist and certified bead and tape-in extension expert, Marcelle recognizes the key to success as a stylist is being able to connect with guests. Whether it’s bobs, men’s cuts, blow-dries, or blondes, Marcelle is acutely attuned to fashion and functionality. And it is her funky and outgoing perspective that tailors her career as a stylist.
After working as a CNA for several years, Marcelle knows how to keep it simple and remember what’s important—the care and respect of other people. She draws inspiration from her family, who encourages her to do better every day.
When she’s not using her powers as a stylist for artistic good, Marcelle enjoys sewing (it’s good therapy), hiking (you gotta love Utah for its mountains), fishing (yup, she does that too), gardening, yoga, and enjoying food, drink, and good music (she freely admits to being a bit of a food snob).
